Topic: Which sense would you rather lose?

That’s a difficult question.
Taste I think.
Cause I wouldn’t want to be blind. To not be able to see people. Places. Trees.
And I wouldn’t want to not be able to hear. Because I like listening to music, andthe trees the waves. And people.
I have to be able to feel, otherwise I wouldn’t be much use as a carpenter. You need to be able to feel the wood under your hands. Wouldn’t be of much use in bed either.
I guess I don’t really think about my sense of smell much, but when you’ve got a cold nothing tastes right and that’s because your nose is all blocked up. So losing smell would be losing taste as well. Better one than two, then.
Of course, eating is pretty dull when nothing taste like anything, but it is better than the other options.

Date: 2004-03-12 02:08 pm (UTC)Or sunsets. The woods at night. The stars. The animals in the moonlight. I'm with you on that one. That's something I couldn't just hold in my memory. I'd have to be able to see it again.

Date: 2004-03-13 02:35 pm (UTC)He smiles at Charlie and signs hammering, then draws a house in the air.
I am a carpenter.
He points to a small wooden bird caught in flight, resting on the kitchen counter.
And I make stuff like that.

He gets up to fetch a box. It's half-filled with little, wooden creatures. He hadn't realized he'd made so many. Hadn't realized how long he'd been here. He puts the box down in front of Charlie.
Go on. Have a look

Date: 2004-03-14 01:33 am (UTC)It's not really good for anything, is it?
He knows it isn't true, though. He knows that the little cat had meant a lot to David.
