"You're right - it's cold," he whispers. "Come back to bed for a little while - till the sun's fully up."

He leans on one elbow and puts a hand lightly on Weps' chest.

He strokes Weps' back, firm, warm hands telling him, that Clay is there. That he listens. That he understands.

He looks up again, strokes Clay's cheek with his fingers. "Will you do something for me?"

His eyes are still a bit sleepy but his smile is warm and broad.

"And he helped me realise the other day that I have to see that Jed's okay, no matter what happens... maybe when - if - I get back, David and I might try and get to know each other a little more." He pauses and kisses Clay again.
"Anyway, just say thanks."
