"Okay... I'll go. But you call me or text me if you need me for anything." Weps roots in his jacket pocket and finds a scrap of paper and a pen and writes down his cellphone number. He hands the paper to Clay and looks at him, placing his hands on Clay's knees.
"Being on your own can be fine for a while - it can make you feel independent. But there's a fine line between being independent and being lonely..."
Weps stands up. "It's good to see you again, Clay. Good friends are hard to find. I missed you."
